Considering using this system. The hard copy and the .pdf are both well done. Haven't had any issues with it. However, it is a struggle for a first time user of the system to parse through everything as the system as presented (e.g. rolling up a character) is not done in a linear fashion. You have to keep flipping back and forth between different sections of the rules and, at best, that's pretty awkward.

There nothing much to say. It's awesome. The good taste of "old days" presented with new editing, that improves the understanding and let's you create your character in a easier way. You can't miss it. It's worth any penny

There is nothing more satisfying than reading the critical result when you hit an enemy with your weapon. Rather than doing 6 points of damage only, you do 6 points and slash foes arm causing him to bleed 1 hit per round and be stunned 1 round. It allows you to visualize combat in a way that doing only points of damage does not. I have been running Rolemaster for over 30 years and it is the best RPG out there. There are others that are simpler to use and do not require you looking up stuff on charts all the time but they are less satisfying overall. If you like more realism and crunch to your games, then you will like Rolemaster. The rules are flexible and you use what you want and customize your game. I do not use all of the rules, I customize it for less paper work and tracking. But I do use most of the core and a lot of the optional ones.

Great game. I've always loved Rolemaster, and this rule set is great.

It is great to update my old RM2 Character Law with this revised version. I especially enjoyed reading it from cover to cover and realising all the things we've done wrong over the years! Rolemaster continues to be my all time favourite game system as it allows great scope in power levels and great diversity in character creation.
