Designed to be quick guides that can be used with a minimal of prep time and minimal cost. I like the idea. Here we have 5 magical Athame ("ath-a-may") or daggers that can be used by witches. These weapons work in conjunction with the witch's hexing ability, though they can be used as magical weapons as well.

Short, sweet and to the point. There is nothing to complain about here.

Another addition to the Bullet Point series following the 3 page standard, with a landscape orientation and a few pieces of B&W artwork (the pieces being of different dagger styled weapons). This time up we're looking at a few new Athames, the ceremonial dagger of the Witch, used mainly within their ritual hexing. Each Athame is presented as a magical item with a full statblock write up giving Aura, CL, Slot, Price, Weight and Construction Requirements as well as a full description. What I felt was missing though was the fact that all five of these items are in fact daggers, and therefore should have been presented with weapon statistics as well. Yes, anyone can assume they all do the standard dagger damage, but that may not be entirely true, as one may be larger, or perhaps designed oddly (the Hawksclaw) and therefore might do a damage that is different than the average dagger. Is an Athame typically wielded as a weapon? Probably not, but at the end of the day, that is what it is.

Each of the Athames presented here add an interesting flavor to this basic tool within a Witch's possession, and for that alone this PDF is worth the price, but the fact that each Athame also brings with it enhancements for the Witch to utilize makes it all the better.

An overall decent product, I would love to say great product, but the fact that the very idea of this PDF is to present Athames that are not the standard boring dagger, only to completely overlook damage ratings for them, that keeps this from being what it could have been for me. Settling for a 4 star rating, as I do like the hex enhancements, and the Athames are interesting in their variations.

All right, you know the drill - 3 pages of content, 1 page front cover, 1 page editorial/SRD, 1 page content - let's check it out!

-Athame of Might: Alchemical silver dagger (penalty to damage) that increases the DC of hexes. Has the option to be cursed

-Athame of Prowess: 3/day, use hexes at either double range or double duration - neat!

-Athame of Seeking: 3/day declare hexes seeking - if you fail to hit a foe with a hex or he/she/it saves, redirect the hex to another foe in range.

-Hawkscale Athame: - 1 to atk, but 2 to crit confirming, 3/day let spell of 5th level or less/hex originate from familiar.

-Swiftjinx Athame: 3/day use a hex as a move action instead of a standard action.

Conclusion: Editing and formatting are top-notch, the pdf adheres to SGG's 3-column standard and the pdf has no bookmarks, but needs none at this length. This pdf delivers us 5 magic daggers for the often neglected witch class that increase her hexing prowess, which is a great thing - adding the minor physical differences of the daggers, including minor rules repercussions, is a nice touch and these items are nice, especially for the low price. However, at least to me, they lack the spark of awesomeness, this peculiar spark that makes you all excited about implementing them. This is still a good product, though, and thus my final verdict will be 4 stars.

Endzeitgeist out.

If you feel the witch class has been neglected in as far as lacking magic items that support that classes’ abilities, these five magical dagger will fill that gap in your campaign’s magic arsenal.

1 with a Bullet Point: 5 Magic Witch’s Daggers is a 3-page PDF (2 pages if you remove the credits/OGL page) for the Pathfinder RPG written by Owen K. C. Stephens and published by Super Genius Games. This is part of Super Genius Games’ #1 with a Bullet Point (One Idea, One Page, One Dollar) line.

The layout is a screen-friendly landscape design, with cover art and 1-column on the first page and three columns on the rest. There are three black and white pieces of art appropriate to the subject.

This entire product range is designed around presenting a single idea quickly and efficiently, as explained on the first page, then it moves onto the framing idea for the product: providing athame (ceremonial daggers) as magic items to support the witch class.

Five magic daggers are provided, ranging in cost from 9,000 to 25,000 gold in cost, though mostly in the lower value. All provide ways to modify and improve upon the witch’s hex power, which can be quite useful to a character. The magical daggers give a witch character access to options for improving hexes much in the way most other spell casters can with their spells. Except that the pricing starts relatively high, I cannot see anyway to fault the options provided here.
