Very interesting product.

When I bought this I thought "Ah, I'll get some 50 village maps. They'll save me a lot of time as I don't need to spend time mapping such in a long time." but I was completely wrong there. There isn't any scale but I think that one hex could be seen as roughly equivalent to 20 or 30 feet. Buildings have been drawn first and the grid has just been added there so a lot of the time a single building occupies a small part on three different hexes... These maps simply can't be just printed and used for DnD battle maps which would have been what I was looking for.

Oddly enough, I still like the product quite a lot. First of all, this is very excellent for anything that doesn't rely on grids as much as DnD. But even for DnD...

All the maps look fine and can serve as a basis to build a village on. I can take any of them, draw it to 5 feet grid and it looks good. The book also has some interesting charts to generate villages with (population, technological level, amount and type of shops, roads, walls, etc.).

The charts would really benefit from a nice amount of extra documentation. I'm still not quite sure I understand the wall generation chart... Or why would I need a chart to generate streets when they have already been drawn to the map... But even as they are, they are a whole lot of fun. An example:

I generated a village with anarchy (=no governmental works), 180 people and 4 shops: Ox keeper, Spear maker, Stonecutter and Cart and wheel shop. Then added some earth walls here and there... I immediately began designing a campaign that starts by players escaping a barbarian slave caravan and with their last strength they are able to get into a primitive village at the borders of the civilization...

Would buy again.
