The Genius Guide to: the Mystic Godling (Giant Sized Edition!) is a 18-page PDF (17 pages if you remove the credits/OGL page) for the Pathfinder RPG written by Owen K. C. Stephens and published by Super Genius Games. This is part of Super Genius Games’ Genius Guide line.
The layout is a screen-friendly landscape design, with cover art and 1-column on the first page and three columns on the rest. The character class tables are in the usual formats and clear to read as are the spell lists. The art is mostly full color and generally supports the partly-divine theme.
Building off the ideas presented in the earlier Genius Guide to: the Godling (but that work is not needed, this product stands alone), this product provides the paths for those Godling who chose to hone their mystical and spellcasting talents. The Adept and Eldritch Godlings are both full 20-level base classes, the Adept is a mixed spellcasting class Gaining up to 6th level spells) while the Eldritch godling is a full spellcasting class gaining access to 9th level spells. Each chooses their own spellcasting path and can be a divine or arcane path (though it is fixed once chosen) and is similar to sorcerers in the way their spellcasting is structured. Beyond spellcasting, each of the godling gains additional abilities tied to their divine heritage.
Supporting the theme is a variety of new spells including curses tied to the caster’s divine heritage, the ability to manifest divine power and even close down others’ access to the divine briefly. Very flavorful and useful spells and the ones that may be risky game balance are discussed. Four feats round, three godling only and one other, out the product.
Overall, another a strong product, if you have a place in your campaign for such beings. But more useful if you also have access to the Guide to the Godling as well which talks about how to integrate godlings into a campaign world.
