This set is designed to synergize with Ronin Arts' "A Dozen Wilderness Hazards," but even if you don't have that product, you can get a lot of use out of this set by redefining the functions of the stones. The set includes 20 tiles, counting one bonus from the SkeletonKey Games web site and one included in "A Dozen Wilderness Hazards." The tiles present a variety of configurations of round and rectangular terror stones (stones made from bones) in grassy, deciduous, coniferious, and swampy settings, and thus they integrate perfectly with SkeletonKey's other outdoors sets. Particularly notable are the tiles that feature a fountain or pool inside a large circular terror stone, two tiles featuring terror stone altars, an arc of rectangular stones surrounding a staircase dungeon entrance, and an empty well or cistern built from terror stones (it could also be a dungeon entrance).

LIKED: Pretty much everything, though some of the tiles are a bit predictable.

DISLIKED: The thumbnail image for HTS20, the tile included in "A Dozen Wilderness Hazards," is incorrect, and duplicates HTS19, the online bonus. The set would have been stronger had it included a few tiles on the desert background used in the Desert Ruins set.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
