SkeletonKey, as always, creates a top-quality product. The tiles have great color, variety and interoperability with their other sets.

This is the set that started it all. Quite a while back, I picked up Star Freighter, and then picked up every other eFuture Tiles set available and then each one as they came out. It was the strength of this set that got me to see the value of a good tile set for my sci-fi games. Star Freighter may be a little dated now, but it's still the core of my sci-fi tile collection. The set alone can be used to build a small- to medium-sized freighter. With the addition of the other sets in the series, you can expand the ship or build types of ships other than freighters. The bonus tiles in this set allow you to create an alien-infested vessel, which I've used a few times. Overall, it's a great set to have, and I've cut different tiles part to add them to other tiles in the series. The bunk room is particularly useful to add extra berths to the Star Patrol set, for example.

Nice high detailed set, but disappointingly you cannot create extra width to the freighter. So you get a 'same look' style to every freighter. <br><br> <b>LIKED</b>: Lots of cargo bays, additional feedback tiles, and the living/cryo quarters are very good indeed.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: All the caro bays are exactly the same size, and the ship overall ends up as exactly the same width, regardless of length. Would liked to have had the opportunity to have had a rear engine or rear quarters.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Very Good<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Satisfied<br>

These are Great! used in Star Wars RPG and for SW Minis battles, as well as Galcta 25 miniature battles!!! Also come in handy in Gamma world RPG as well. So many uses it is beyond measure, plus interchangable with other sets has allowed for some vast ships to be created!<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Very Good<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Satisfied<br>

I liked it. IT has potential. Being able to see a plan of the ship you want to create helps me<br><br> <b>LIKED</b>: Large pictures<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: A bit restrictive in the possible designs. Didnt like having just ONE tile per page. A lot of white paper was wasted printing out one tile per page. COuld have made it a bit more economical<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Acceptable<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Satisfied<br>

Very useful map for a general purpose freighter, which is fortunate since I run a far trader campaign.<br><br> <b>LIKED</b>: The artwork on the tiles is amazing.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: I would love to have the ability to design spaceship maps with a program like e-adventure tiles has.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Very Good<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Satisfied<br>

As described, this set allows you to create a basic small freighter, however the tiles provided can really only be used to create one ship configuration. The only significant way of varying the design of the ship is by adding more cargo holds; creating either a longer or shorter version of the same design. The bonus tiles included do not change the overall structure, simply providing variations of existing tiles (i.e. empty cargo bays instead of full ones, bunks instead of cryo-berths etc). However it is nice to see a company responding so positively to customer feedback. :-)

Like other sets in this series, the ship design is quite narrow (only two tiles wide) a fact particularly apparent here as the ship is essentially a long corridor with rooms off it. NOTE: I have been buying these sets for use with miniature combat which may skew my view slightly as they don't tend to make for very interesting combat environments. I would really like to see a future release that can be used with existing sets and allow for larger, more intricate, non linear ship interiors. However the Star Command set has gone some way to rectifying this shortcoming.

Although limited the tiles look good as always, but I suspect this release will be of most benefit when used in conjunction with the other sets in this series.<br><br> <b>LIKED</b>: The usual good graphics and the inclusion of grey scale versions of all the tiles.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: Really only one configuration possible, making it of most use when used with other sets. Also maybe a little expensive given its limited versatility. <br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Very Good<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Disappointed<br>

Good basic set of ship tiles - these are much scarcer than dungeon tiles, which are abundant on the web. Very "Alien" look and feel, assumes most people travel in hypersleep; I'd have liked more bunkroom tiles, although there is one such as the bonus tile. Square tiles, even if 8x8 rather than the standard Skeleton Key 6x6, would have given me more options for ships - I think I will quickly exhaust the possible layouts.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: Good presentation, easy to use, thumbnail images for planning, choice of greyscale or colout.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: Not enough sleeping quarters - main tiles assume everyone travels in hypersleep.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Very Good<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Satisfied<br>

Nice product-- good visual appeal, easy to put together. Very useful for my SF game, and just to scale for minis.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: Clean lines, logical flow, expandable.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: A little pricey. Would have been nice to have in grey scale, too.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Very Good<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Satisfied<br>

Thanks for the comments, Andrew. I don't release greyscale versions of the tiles anymore becsuse they print out much more crisp if you just print the color files to a black and white printer. Cheers - Ed Bourelle - SkeletonKey Games

These sets are incredible. They are the best thing to happen to D&D since the d20 system. The also work well with 2nd ed. and compliment the D&D(Star Wars) miniatures very well. Thanks Ed. This has put the spark back in my campaign.

These star ship sets are not as good as the terrain tiles, but they are still usefull.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: Flexability<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: Addictive<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Very Good<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Satisfied<br>

These are as well-done as anything Skeleton Key had produced. I have only minor quibbles: 1) the set is not as modular as say The Round Tower or the Dungeon series, and 2) there are sheets that have no apparent game use (two pieces that are entirely gray outlines with no play area within). Ed offered a "feedback bonus" that gave us empty cargo bays which enormously extend the play options.

There is one problem: "you can't eat just one": The succeeding sets all work together giving substantial modularity, but at some expense. They are all worth the price. Buy the ones you don't think you'll need!<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: artwork<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Acceptable<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Satisfied<br>

As a writer with poor drawing skills, this is a great set that lets me start seeing the ships I write about. This first set for eFuture has me salivating for what's to come. I am addicted to the eAdventure products as a gamer and now, I have a whole new addiction to experience as a writer.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: The flexibility of the tiles. I can make a small ship or a really long cargo carrier. With just this set, I've already designed one ship from my writing.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: Honestly? Nothing. Except, maybe... It made me want MORE! grin Thankfully Ed Bourelle is constantly putting out new sets to feed my need!<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

What are you waiting for? You like deckplans to plan on? Then buy these, they are great. Heck get all of them and the Ronin Arts ones too.<br><br><b>LIKED</b>: Bright colors, the bits fit together in quite a few ways.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: Airlocks? Yes you can use a cargo bay as a lock, but there are no dedicated locks.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Very Good<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>
