The BEHIND THE SPELLS series gives you a nice overview examining a single spell. It covers it's history and development, practical ways to use and defeat the use of the spell, and a few varient spells.
This explores Mirror Image, a nice low level defensive spell. I found reading the history of it's development was amusing, and I feel the book offered some insteresting counters for teh spell as well. Worth the money.
