I wasn't impressed by this book. From the amateurish cover to the unusable map, it feels shoddy. Most of the text appears to consist of the author being convinced that he can write; it tends to be wordy, vague and rather opaque. There is relatively little that is immediately useful in the text.
The main body of the book contains descriptions of Lankhmar, a wider gazetteer of Nehwon and a description of the events of the novels. The lesser parts consist of revised backgrounds for PCs, stats for some monsters along with Fafhrd and The Grey Mouser and an interesting variation of sorcery - "black magic." All of this is, however, cursory at best. The magic system takes up a fair number of pages and contains precisely 4 spells.
I must admit that I read this through once and then left it on a shelf. I found the author's writing style turgid and the book's utility minimal.
