This installment in the City Builder line focuses on Craftsman Places, as the title says. The book itself is very good at doing what it does, generalizing craftsman shops that PCs would visit. If you're looking for detailed shops with lists of items, this isn't what you want. If, however, you are looking for a source of what these shops are all about and how they fit into your towns and cities, and some adventure hooks to jump-start your creative flow, then you've come to the right place!
The price is certainly right. At less than two dollars, you get a half-dozen places along with additional pages of quality artwork, which gives the DM/GM both a source of inspiration and a player handout for visual imagery. I've seen (and purchased) other products out here for more and gotten considerably less quality and material, so I have no problem supporting this line.
I would like to have had a little more detail, but knowing that this is part of a larger project and ties to another upcoming volume in the series gives me more to look forward to.
This is a great resource for almost no money...and according to their website, if you join their forum, there are discount coupons out there, so this deal gets even better!
