Lost my first quick review....so here is the down and dirty.

+Overall like the system/setting. More a mix of fantasy and tech than straight fantasy I expected. [Not as racy as the cover and explicit tag leads you to believe. Rather, this is the sign of a responsible author]

+Big book (261 pages) with hefty setting leading the way (64 pages)

+System based on a skill pool of d10 dice. Dice are read as is (finally! 0 counts as zero) and can explode. Dice roll interpreted by one of four types of test.

+Largely point based character creation with 11 races and twice as many subspecies.

+Three groups of dice pools and damage.

+Extensive explanation of the Law and Rules of magic.

+PDF index hotlinks to sections

-Author writes from a soap box throughout the book. Prose isn't bad, but tiring to read.

-Needs editing. Found several references "p.XXXXX"

-Poorly organized. Aforementioned system tests are explained in Character Creation - Skills.

-Art is hit (Larry Elmore, no really!) or miss (look at the Drow), but layout looks as if it was done in MS Word.

Overall, this book would rate average (3 stars) if not for the obvious labor of love applied by the small production house. So plus one for effort.
