Moon Elf This piece was the first that Dean Spencer drew for me as a bespoke art reward on his Patreon, and it is exactly what I asked for. Beyond that, it is a bit hard to give useful information about a piece of stock art: you can see by looking how good it is.

OpenQuest 2 Basic Edition
von Cameron M.
Verlag: D101 Games
Hinzugefügt am: 09/29/2016 02:12:26
OpenQuest 2 Basic Edition This is great for a free product! OpenQuest is an indie retroclone version of RuneQuest which could be described as a trimmed down RQ6/Mythras, yet with the flavour of classic era RQ2 and RQ3. Quick character gen, simple combat rules, reasonable weapon lists etc and Basic Magic. Perfect for an old school session if you want to play a classic fantasy D&D or RQ game, and there's no need to buy the expanded version unless you want more equipment and magic OQ is.a good taster to see if you want to invest in the more complex versions of RQ down the track, although there's certainly no need to do so. There's also a few sword and sorcery scenarios available, so this is perfect as an entry point into simple, classless classic fantasy gaming. The Basic Edition of the core rules is self-contained and free, so you can't get much better than that!...

Quantum Black Core Rules
von Anthony B.
Verlag: Quantum Black Games
Hinzugefügt am: 09/28/2016 23:55:51
Quantum Black Core Rules Quantum Black is the first modern-era game using the Ubiquity Roleplaying System to see release. The core book includes the standard rules found in any Ubiquity game, and has its own adaptations of the magic and sanity rules. Being a game focused mainly on a framework of dangerous investigation and combat action, it has a large amount of modern gear which might be of interest to people looking to expand their resources for building their own settings. Those familiar with the X-files, or more specifically with games like Beyond the Supernatural will feel at home in this setting as described, and find Ubiquity a good tool to use for fast action and representing the growing grip of terror on the characters. Quantum Black's approach to magic is uses procedures such as found in Hollow Earth Expedition's "Secrets of the Surface World," and Leagues of Adventure's "Leagues of Gothic Horror," but applies it during GM-preparation for spell design. This is both clever and useful and will li...

Dungeon World Playbooks: Wrath of the Wild [Bundle]
von Mark W.
Verlag: Pleb Publishing
Hinzugefügt am: 09/28/2016 23:11:09
Dungeon World Playbooks: Wrath of the Wild [Bundle] When i looked through the description, i loved the ideas for all of the classes. I mean, SQUIRRELMANCER?! I *had* to have it. Unfortunately, the final product i am not too pleased with. I can understand the gist of the moves, and i can see why much of it was done the way it was done, but it's like the author has never read how Dungeon World moves are structured. Much of the wording is slightly difficult to understand, and for some things i feel i have no choice in how my character is created. For example: in The Centaur, you have a move called "Prideful Creature" that prevents you from performing acts that a beast of burden would do, such as pulling a card or carrying people on your back *(Both of which make sense)*... but then you're also not allowed to surrender, nor are you allowed to allow yourself to be captured alive, which have very little to do with the other things. Overall, i enjoy this product, but would not recommend it to others....

The Gamemaster's Worldbuilding Journal
von Aaron T.
Verlag: Fat Goblin Games
Hinzugefügt am: 09/28/2016 20:45:48
The Gamemaster's Worldbuilding Journal This product comes with four separate files: a 57-page World-building Journal, an 840 page world-building journal, a zip file containing extra copies of all the pages in the journals and a form fillable version of the individual pages. The purpose of this product is to provide a framework for the homebrew GM to create all the various little pieces of their game world. If you are a GM playing in an established setting such as Paizo’s Golarion, Frog God Games’ Lost Lands or Adventure-a-Week’s Aventyr, this product will be of little use to you. However, if you have a hankering to build a world whether for running a game or writing a story, this product gives you a framework to work in. Since this is not an adventure, there’s no need for a spoiler warning, however, I will offer the disclaimer that I was given a copy of the product for the purpose of writing an honest review, however I receive no compensation for my review. I’ll start with the 57 page world-building guide. This pr...

Dungeon Crawl Classics #81: The One Who Watches From Below
von Dan C.
Verlag: Goodman Games
Hinzugefügt am: 09/28/2016 18:30:17
Dungeon Crawl Classics #81: The One Who Watches From Below If you like 'Phantasm' you'll love this adventure. Yeah there are killer dwarves (not the bearded kind), but the general vibe of the fantasy elements really nailed the atmosphere of 'Phantasm'. The horror isn't entirely magical; it isn't entirely technological--it falls squarely into an ambiguous, hideously suggestive middle ground. The curse gimmick is the best example (see preview). It added a fun dimension to roleplaying that my new as well as experienced players really enjoyed.

White Box: Expanded Lore
von Charlie M.
Verlag: Szymon 'Noobirus' Piecha
Hinzugefügt am: 09/28/2016 17:59:09
White Box: Expanded Lore Disclosure: I'm the guy that made the updated White Box: Fantastic Medieval Adventure Game. I had no involvement with this book. This is a fantastic supplement for White Box games. The New classes are flavorful and have easy mechanics, which is ideal for WB (keep it short and sweet). There is a new spell list for the Druid, instead of just using the cleric spells. Check this new spell description: Wild Strength This  spell gives  a  chosen  person  immense  strength  –  his  muscle  mass  rips  apart clothes Just awesome. Every game needs a Hulk. The feats may turn some people off, just by the name alone. But they are short and sweet (see the pattern?) and it adds a way to add more mechanical differentiation among classes. Some people will like that. And hey, you can always change the name! The layout is clean and the art is really good. There are a few typos and grammar errors but I don't believe it's the authors native language. All in all, I think it's a grea...

Castle Falkenstein: The Tarot Variation
von James E.
Verlag: Fat Goblin Games
Hinzugefügt am: 09/28/2016 17:57:15
Castle Falkenstein: The Tarot Variation Disclaimer: I was given a free copy of this product for the purpose of this review. This is a six-page, full color supplement for Castle Falkenstein - although only three of the pages have actual content. On the other hand, it's a $1.95 product to begin with, so the price seems fair enough. Functionally, this product is an alternate set of rules for Sorcerers, replacing the traditional four-suit playing card deck with a set of tarot cards (specifically, the Rider-Waite deck). The four suits of the tarot replace the normal playing cards, but the 22 major arcana are added to the deck and provide additional effects if drawn. Two rule options are provided here (keep drawing, or stop drawing), based on what you feel would be best for your game. Each major arcana card has a specific effect. For example, the High Priestess can convert a random card into Swords (the equivalent of the Spades playing card suit, and associated with the Spiritual Magicks harmonic), while the Justice judge...

Castle Falkenstein: Curious Creatures
von James E.
Verlag: Fat Goblin Games
Hinzugefügt am: 09/28/2016 17:49:37
Castle Falkenstein: Curious Creatures *Disclaimer:* I was given a free copy of this product for the purpose of this review. Castle Falkenstein: Curious Creatures is a 146-page, full-color supplement focused on various natural (and supernatural) animals. Now, as the name suggests, this is not a standalone product - it absolutely requires the base game in order to make much use of this, although a GM could hammer out something equivalent for their own games if they really wanted to. Functionally, this book is a bestiary, offering suggestions for using (or playing as) the creatures contained within. As this is an animal-focused book, many of the creatures within tend to work well as either minions for a foe or significant encounters in their own right - unsurprisingly, the Jabberwocky is one of the latter. All together, there's about 70 creatures within, as well 24 characters and 10 Dramatic Characters. There are also some rules for creating new creatures, should you be interested in that. Honestly, I'm not sure what...

(G-Core) Guardian Universe: REVIVAL: Deep Space
von Christopher C.
Verlag: Dilly Green Bean Games
Hinzugefügt am: 09/28/2016 13:00:33
(G-Core) Guardian Universe: REVIVAL: Deep Space There have been a multitude of G-Core products over the years. Most deal with what we would call low-to-mid level characters, others cover the high end of the spectrum. Deep Space goes even further. This new product for G-Core covers the most powerful beings in the Guardian Universe setting. Deep Space covers a myriad of different topics starting with the War of the Gods and what has happend until now. There are a number of powerful groups that have formed in the setting due to the actions of people far in the past. This butterfly effect has changed the very nature of the Guardian Universe to what it is today. There are a variety of beings detailed here. Everything from the soldiers of different cosmic level groups to beings powerful enough to wipe out planets. Jay does an excellent job of creating a number of creatures that fill the different 'feels' that can be present in any Cosmic campaign. There are gods and mysterious creatures that defy the laws of existance. De...

M-space Very nice work, this supplement is an excellent addition to the Mythras line. I really like Extended Conflicts rules it adds a lot to narrative gameplaying it looks like from reading that you do a good job providing two different play styles those like a crunchy and and simplified streamline play. An a example of this is a simplifiedsimplified combat rules. The game also provides character sheets for both ships, players, Aliens, vehicles, world, organizations and probably more that I missed. The sheet are another great add ones that I'll be able to use that only with M-Space but a good number of the the other supplements. Again I say good job, looking forward to using your system this weekend....

100 Fantasy Diseases While the description hints at something more than just diseases names, the actual document is nothing but that. Just 100 disease names, without any description of what effects they may have or even a small blurb. Unless you're just looking for names to toss at your players, you definitely don't need this product.

The Stars Were Right The resolution might not be the highest on the market, but the picture looks good even as a desktop background picture. According to the license we are talking about free artwork that may be used commercially** [see the license link for details!]**, which is every DIY publishers wet dream in regard to quality work. And this -is- quality artwork. I put up a llink on my blog to promote it and I can see me using it as cover when the muse called Inspiration gifts me with a solid enough idea. The only thing that I am unhappy with is that it is ofter as FREE instead of Pay-what-you-want: as soon as I use it commercially I would have loved to give a share back to the creators, but perhaps I can find a way on the flickrpage included in the article. Thanks for the artwork! The gods may mutate me so that I have more thumbs to hold UP for this!...
