Night Horrors: Conquering Heroes

Night Horrors: Conquering Heroes This is my favorite style of Night Horrors book, not only does it provide sample antagonists, it actually provides some writing space to expanding the antagonists and even adds a new type of antagonist beyond what was in the Beast core book. Sadly the art isn't as interesting as it could be, the majority of the antagonists appearing as humans in fairly typical modern garb, there isn't anything stunningly ugly either.

V20 Dark Ages Tome of Secrets

V20 Dark Ages Tome of Secrets I definitely enjoyed it and found it a rather useful pool of ideas and locales, the art as always for this line is more often gorgeous. It is most useful for a Storyteller who wants more information on the daily life of the setting but a player wishing to play something more in sync with the mores of the time will find it very useful too.

Changeling: The Dreaming 20th Anniversary Edition

Changeling: The Dreaming 20th Anniversary Edition Dreaming is a gorgeous and thick tome that brings the world of Fae to the classic World of Darkness setting. While I personally prefer Changeling the Lost, this is still an excellent read and adds a much more vibrant tone to the normally dour and grim universe of the World of Darkness.

Gamma World Game Rules (4e) I don't usually buy print copies of games anymore, but I bought the print of this immediately. This edition is by far the best edition of Gamma World, and arguably the best version of d20, a pre-OGL lighter version. i will be buying the prints of Treasures of the Ancients and others in the series as they are released.

Hybrid Blood

Hybrid Blood I like it. I could go on and say why I like it, and I will. Customization, holy balls does this book let you do a lot of shit/crazy shit. the race supplied is incredibly customizable on its own, and I'd have bought a book for that as it provides plenty/endless avenues to make your own, personal race of beasties, in an much simpler/easy to understand and quicker than simply making a race on your own from scratch, by y choosing their diet and mobility type to construct their racial traits/attributes/stats, and with the amount here, you can as I said, make endless amounts of your own beastly dudes and duddettes to fill your world with and or play as. The various feats help add flavor and an extra dash of uniqueness or umph to your character. And just from that you can see the book is beautifully organized, and a far easier read than others I've encountered, with information sectioned clearly and so presented in an easily digestable way. The beast races you can create, even if you go wild ...

Adversaries of the Righteous: Fivefold Masks and Lies

Adversaries of the Righteous: Fivefold Masks and Lies The character is rad, and feels like they would fit into a lot of campaigns as one of those "wait are they with us or against us?" NPCs. Plus, their mask is a cool artifact and it's nice to have rapiers in the game. I'm a little baffled to see people who can parse the dense mechanics of Exalted being confused by a little thing like someone using they/them pronouns; the wording of this piece seemed pretty clear to me.

Ironsworn This is one of those 6star+ products for sure! Professionally done and free! I have paid for much less quantity and quality.... Additional assets/downloads to help with the game setup/running and log-keeping! And excellent balance between mechanics and fiction (fluff/crunch) Quite easy to get into despite the almost 300 pages and yet deeply designed to account for more than your average narrative game Gm-less mode which means that you can also Solo the game And help with hacking/expanding chaging the game to your preferences! This is on the path to becoming one of my (if not THE) go to choices for Gritty Narrative Fantasy games....

Faux Pas
by Michael A B.
Publisher: HOCUS
Date Added: 07/17/2018 12:45:11
Faux Pas A small adventure consisting of a cursed village and cave system/ancient temple beneath written seemingly for LotFP or a similar Basic/Expert early edition D&D clone. The descriptions and writing are creative and clear while the scope is refreshingly small. I've rated it highly because it does what it seeks to do well. However, the focus is largely on body horror, making it very much a contemporary genre piece, and it adopts several elements of that genre, such as using the hook of (likely - they can avoid it if they think) inflicting the PCs with a terrible disgusting disease. Still, there's enough difference from the standard body-horror dungeon - a somewhat gonzo/science fantasy underlaying mystery and a good deal of fun, believeable NPC description (e.g. pugnacious teenagers swept up in a firey romance) - to lift Faux Pas above the standard body horror adventure and which should create a great set of roleplaying encounters. A solid, narrowly focused location based adventure th...

Hypercorps 2099 # Good but could be better * Received mt hardciver today. Was alsio readung through the PDF while waiting for the printed book. I have not completed a thorough read, but what I have read, I like. **SHADOWRUN** comes to mind pretty much right away. I do have a probem with the book received vs the PDF... The PDF has page numbers in the lower corners throughout the document. however the book is missing the page #'s entirely. There is no point to having a numbered index if there are no page # << [screenshot](http://thedeificnmi.com/imagez/Hypercorps.jpg) >> I do not know if this was intentional or a mistake, however I am leaning towards error on the part of the printer. How would I go about getting this fixed? As the publisher has so quickly responded to my review here and to my direct email, I am updating my rewiew to better eflect my opinion. Though I have issues with the overall layout/presentation, :I think that material present is good, excellent even for the time peri...

Hero's Blood

Hero's Blood An Endzeitgeist.com review This adventure clocks in at 57 pages, 1 page front cover, 1 page inside of front cover, 1 page editorial, 2 pages of introduction, 1 page ToC, 1 1/3 pages of SRD, 2 pages of advertisement, 1 page back cover, leaving us with 46 2/3 pages of content – all of which sport a surprising amount of material, as Legendary Games books have a pretty high word-per-page-density. Okay, first things first: This adventure is intended for characters of 10th level and can thus fit pretty easily behind the 3rd adventure in the Curse of the Crimson Throne module, and before the 5th – the module provides a thematic continuation of the leitmotifs of colonial corruption that the first 3 modules sported, which are curiously absent from the otherwise intriguing and evocative 4th adventure. As such, theme-wise, this indeed enhances the AP. It should also be noted that this supplement includes a new corruption, making use of Horror Adventures’ rules. However, you do not necessa...

Advanced Adventures #6: The Chasm of the Damned An Endzeitgeist.com review This installment of the Advanced Adventures-series clocks in at 17 pages, 1 page front/back cover, 1 page editorial/ToC, 1 page advertisement, 1 page SRD, leaving us with 13 pages of content, so let’s take a look! This review was requested by one of my patreons, to be undertaken at my leisure. As always with this series, we use OSRIC-rules as the default old-school system, with minor formal deviations from standard formatting, encompassing bolded spells and magic items, for example. The supplemental material includes a properly codified hand of glory magic item, and the pdf comes with 4 different, rival adventure groups that can be inserted as wild-cards into the game, particularly if the PCs have too easy a time. These groups are presented with basic stats noting magic items and spells, but no detailed write-ups of individual equipment. The module features three new monsters: A gargoyle variant that can, in groups, cause maddening winds that pre...
