DC1 Among the Dead

DC1 Among the Dead In the lawless times of the dark near-future predicted by this game, Dark Minions take advantage of governments preoccupied with cost-cutting and public disinterest to get up to all sorts of things, and this adventure leads the party into a whole can of worms as they start investigating the disappearance of a nurse on behalf of a distraught uncle. The evidence they unearth should lead them to a dastardly plot set to engulf Moscow... a long way from a missing young lady in New York. The Referee's Synopsis lays this all out and explains that each sequence leads into the next, with clues for later events scattered through earlier ones... yet, if the party strays off course, it should be relatively straightforward to point them back again with a few well-placed additional pieces of information. It all begins with a worried ex-pat Russian, Lobov, who has a tale to tell about his niece... He has some letters that she sent to him which have some rather disturbing comments about the hosp...

DDAL07-01 A City on the Edge (5e) Un'ottima avventura introduttiva, facilmente gestibile soprattutto per giocatori neofiti. Unica pecca: è particolarmente lunga, impossibile affrontare tutti e 5 gli scenari in appena 5 ore; comunque con un pò di gioco collaborativo tra piu tavoli si riesce a completare il modulo. 4/5

Shadows over Vathak: Hauntlings - Enhanced Racial Guide

Shadows over Vathak: Hauntlings - Enhanced Racial Guide *Disclaimer:* I received a free copy of this product for the purpose of this review. This is a full-color, 40 page PDF - but in all honesty, you probably already know if you're interested or not. It's worth noting that this product is a complete resource for the hauntling race and includes their stats - you don't need any other products to actually use this supplement, though most of the flavor is specific to the Shadows over Vathak setting. The first quarter of the book is almost entirely flavor, and covers physical descriptions, personalities, society, lands, religion, alignment, adventurers, and names - basically all the flavor you'd expect from a complete racial writeup. From there, however, we actually start to get quite a lot of rules material - including some that I don't believe were published in the past. The section opens with several racial variants, then moves into favored class options, four racial archetypes, feats, traits, equipment, special materials, magic ite...

Spy Master

Spy Master By first-time author Symatt, Spy Master is a fast, simple game that aims to capture the spirit of classic James Bond adventures. It uses of the card game 21 (also known as pontoon) as it basic mechanics which fits well with the games theme. There are no dice, just a deck of cards and a combination of player luck and skill. The character sheet is basic, little more than four numbers to represent the character's basic expertise in very loosely defined areas of expertise. All player actions come down to a playing a game of 21 combining randomly drawn cards and one of the four basic character stats. The game also provides a lot of ideas for using cards to generate character background, locations, names and so on. The game uses various movie related terms like director, scenes and acts to enhance the theme and tone of the game. The book also includes a bit of background on spy organisations and fictional enemies along with examples of play to help players get into the genre. There is...

Ancient Idols

Ancient Idols An Endzeitgeist.com review This pdf clocks in at 32 pages, 1 page front cover, 1 page inside of front cover, 1 page editorial, 1 page ToC, 1 page SRD, 1 page advertisement, 1 page back cover, 2 pages of introduction leaving us with 23 pages of content, so let’s take a look! Okay, both fiction and real-world mythology are chock-full with the concept of idols – statues or physical representations of quasi-deities worshiped as false gods; whether it’s the golden calf or jade serpents found by hale Cimmerians in the depths of forbidding ruins. Considering their eminence in fiction etc., it is pretty surprising that PFRPG so far had no rules-representation of the concept of idols in game. This pdf seeks to change that. So, how does it go about this task? Well, idols behave as something akin to quasi-deific crossover creatures that blend aspects of sentient magic items and creatures – they, for example, sport an ego-score that increases depending on the amount of people worshipi...

20 Things #18: Troublesome Treasures (System Neutral Edition) An Endzeitgeist.com review This installment of Raging Swan Press' system-neutral #20-series clocks in at 12 pages, 1 page front cover, 2 pages of advertisement, 1 page editorial, 1 page SRD, 1 page back cover, leaving us with 5 pages of content, so let's take a look! We all have been there: The point where the treasure to be found in a dungeon just becomes gems, coins etc. for convenience’s sake. One of the best things about RSP’s dressing files is that such aspects of the game, which generally hamper immersion, are reduced – and this is where this pdf comes in. We begin with 10 difficult to sell treasures that include depictions of nasty Nosferatu-style vampires, bulky, but supple bundles containing high-quality torture equipment, a poisoner’s dagger and sealed boxes that may well contain magical remnants of creatures. Another aspect that often falls by the wayside would be that magic items often don’t feel unreliable, raw, magical – too scientific, sterile, if you will. ...

1KWA-2: The Coin Purse's Strings An Endzeitgeist.com review All right, this little system-neutral adventure-sketch clocks in at 3 pages 1 page front cover, 2 pages of content. This being basically a system-neutral adventure outline in precious few words, I do not expect earth-shattering storylines here. This being an adventure review, the following contains SPOILERS. Potential players should skip ahead to the conclusion. … .. . As the PCs travel to the bustling city of Reyston, the PCs encounter the local guard – the Untarnished, who are looking for shaven coins…and of course, they take in the PCs, with the shopkeepers caving before the guard’s pressure. Liam Cunningham, the captain of the guard, lets the PCs stew in their cells for a few days…before the PCs are sentenced and fined. He offers to let the PCs hunt down the real culprits to cleanse their name and repay their debt to society. The PCs are given a rough map of the city (not included in the pdf). There are various trails to purs...

Swords & Wizardry Continual Light

Swords & Wizardry Continual Light Do you consider Excalibur a decent back-up weapon? Is what you call "Improved Continual Light" what other people call "Sunrise"? Do the gods ask YOU what's going to happen today? Do you consider your dad multi-classed because he works two jobs to keep you in rulebooks and supplements? Then scat. Shoo. Go away kid, you bother me. Ain't nothing to see here. But if you remember the days when most of the game rules and stats could fit in your head, next to your imagination and sense of humor, you've come to the right place. Pull up a chair. break out your best 3d6 and d20 (that's all you'll need), open up your snack locker, grab a pencil and a character sheet (it has plenty of room to customize it yourself), and allons bebe, laissez les bon temps rouler! Damn, the beastiary has no listing for vampire; that sucks. Oh, well......

The Wreckers of Windward Isle I'm writing a review of this after looking through it quickly once. However, I know that if I don't write one, I never will. As with all of the other ROAN materials which I've seen, the artwork in this is fantastic and richly detailed. Buy it solely for that. However, what separates this material from others is the level of detail and consistency that the material has. This isn't just a module that you can quickly run a bunch of teenagers through, this is foundational material which adds background, color, and depth to a campaign. I mean, how often have you seen someone talk about the pirates that live on the islands of the bay?...

The Bay of Spirits I need to read this about 3 times before I'm comfortable with it, but I've already got a plan for where it's going to be part of my campaign. As always, ROAN's stuff is amazingly illustrated. Even if you can't use the setting in your campaign, you really should buy this for the artwork and the ideas contianed therein.

Swords & Wizardry Continual Light Excellent rules-light rpg since I no longer have the time to read 300+ pages of core rules... But why does the dwarf and the thief have some little differences between SWL and SWCL? The dwarf no longer have the defensive bonus vs. giants (+4 AC) in SWCL... In SWL, the thief have 1/D6 move silently, etc. and in SWCL he have 1-2/D6? And I would add dark vision (60') to dwarves and elves or at least night vision to elves... Besides that, THANK YOU very much for this practical little treasure rpg. ...
