Welcome to "100 Oddities for a Creepy Old House"! This system-free sourcebook features 100 strange and unique things that characters in game sessions or stories might find while exploring a decrepit old home.

This fully-illustrated system-free sourcebook includes:

● Entries for 100 thematically appropriate items, details, or conditions;

● An introduction that gives tips on ways to use this and other "100 Oddities" books;

● Four beautiful maps of the Basement, Ground Floor, Upper Level, and Attic a Creepy Old House;

● A ZIP folder of resources that includes copies of the maps with and without grids (which can be especially useful when running games online or on a virtual tabletop).

Oddities are intended to aid storyteller creativity, turning possibly bland areas or gaming episodes into something more. The goal of this publication is to make things more fun and to take your imagination in directions it might not otherwise have gone. In our own mundane world, Oddities might be limited to old, chewed pencils, unused key-fobs, or a half-finished decorative spoon collection awaiting the Grand Canyon and Mount Rushmore. In the worlds of our imagination, however, they can be so much more. What oddities might be found in the halls, on the walls, or occupying the shelves of a Creepy Old House? Let’s find out ...

~ TSRPG (Travel-Sized RPG) ~

Be sure to check out Skirmisher Publishing's popular and Platinum-bestselling TSRPG (Travel-Sized RPG)! This rules-light storytelling game can easily be played anywhere, from the airport waiting area you are stuck in, to the overnight in some hotel where there is nothing to do (and also, of course, in your own home). All the basic rules fit on one page; no dice are needed; characters have just two stats; and any bookkeeping that might be required can be done on a cocktail napkin with a pen borrowed from a waiter. TSRPG is fully supported with sourcebooks that include "Arms, Armor & More," "Wands, Wagons, Whips & More," and "OS-TSRPG," along with 10 compelling scenarios, "A Long Way to the Top," "Beating Around the Bush," "A Midsummer Night's Scheme," "On the Plane of Magma," "A Violet Shade of Death," "A Rose for Erato," "Into the Terrorium," "Whiskey in the Jar," "Krampusnacht: Night of the Krampus!," and "Temple of the Banished Suns," all of which include pregenerated characters and the basic rules for the game, allowing them to function as quick-starts for it. We have also had TSRPG translated into a number of other languages, including German (along with three adventures, „Eine Rose für Erato,“ „Auf der Ebene des Magmas,“ and „Tempel der Verbannten Sonnen,“ along with the „OS-TSRPG" supplement), Spanish (along with four adventures, "Una Rosa Para Erato," "Un Tono Violeta de Muerte," ""¡El Plan de Una Noche de Verano"," and "En el Plano de Magma" and the "Armas, Armaduras y Más" and "Varitas, Vagones, Látigos y Más!" supplements), and Ukrainian

Everything's great and the additional resources - heck, the maps alone - make it well worth the price. I wish there were another, specific table or two to round things out (maybe some spooky sounds, weather, haunting details, something?), but really gr [...]

Skirmisher is right on with their "100 Oddities" series, and this one is up there with the others. Each of the items has just enough information to allow a game referee (whatever nomenclature you use) to drop a hook on. The oddites presented [...]

This was a given purchase for me as soon as I laid eyes on it; it's weird, it's creepy, it's got mansions, everything! I wasn't disappointed having read through it either, I don't think there's been a single one of them I've seen without going "Hu [...]

All of the "Oddities" offerings from Skirmisher are awesome. They give GM's great ideas for random strangenessa dn intrigue that can be injected into a game campaign. With some tweaking the oddities could even be adapted to an array of RPG se [...]

Skirmisher has quickly become a favorite of the PlayersGuidePodcast crew and 100 Oddities for a Creepy Old House is a stirling example of why. We are planning a full review of the Oddities books on our website but the shortened version is thus. Using [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
