Hi everybody, I'm experiencing issues to print these nice pdf... Has someone had the same issues? I've tried on two different printers (at home and pro-printer) and the same text box appear: "Impossible to print the document." "No page selected for the printer". I tried to print only 4 pages to see if I had to choose specifice ones. But no.

I'm a little bit disappointed, because I like to print the pages for the monsters (and the drawings are so cool!), and I can atm only do some printscreen in jpg, and that's really not good quality. Hoping someone can help!

I'm curious what you guys think about the price point for content? Also, I have paper minis and VTT tokens for these monsters as well. Would a modest price bump be palatable if I included them? Or, do you prefer to purchase them separately from my regular Creature Feature line? It's a pickle because there's redundancy.

As priced now, $3.25 for 13 is the same price as buying all the individual creatures. Thus GMs are discouraged from buying this bundle, because it feels like wasting money on creatures they might not use when they could just grab all the individual creatures they know they have immediate use for in their next game. At 0.25 you really did make a great "impulse buy" product in the individual creature. Adding extra value encourages GMs to get the bundle, but I don't know how that will play out at increased price because of how easy it is to make tokens for VTT. I would probably like it, but I'd like it more with stat blocks for Fantasy Grounds.

For a physical tabletop GM, I know I would love those paper minis. Trying to shrink art and make it into a triangle-fold mini I could use on a battle mat was always a pain. That's part of why I moved to Fantasy Grounds. So, I'd totally have paid for those. Do you know how much your regular customers split between VTT GMs and Physical Table GMs?

Thanks for your input Gavin. I have been struggling with getting exposure for this product line and pricing things fairly. Perhaps I will stop the individual releases or give these Quarterlies (including the minis and tokens) a slight bump to $3.50 to represent lay out prices, etc.

The series is still getting exposure, so I don't know how the split goes between tabletop vs. virtual tabletop gamers. The series began on Patreon, and most of my backers there seem like busy people as they rarely comment.

A quick plug, I am running a Kickstarter for Volume 3 now. The work is done except for layout of the booklet. My goal is $1000. If it funds, I will include VTT tokens and paper minis with these older Quarterlies too.

How do you feel about a PoD version? Because of this Landscape layout printing costs are quite a bit higher. If I recall correctly, they would be in the minimum $8 range. Would that dissuade you from a PoD purchase?

Fantastic art and really well balanced creatures, this beautiful piece feels like a zine in all the best ways. There is a lot of effort here, not just stat blocks but fully realized monsters.

Clear and bold drawings of interesting and well-written monsters. A good variety, each with a full write-up of lore, ecology and ways to connect it with an adventure. The mechanics follow the standard 5E format, so they are easy to read and use. I happily recommend this and other Creature Feature pdfs by Jeremy Hart.

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
