The Dark Eye - Prison of Shadows

ADD TO WISHLIST >

The war against the Heptarchs has reached the endgame: the fleet of the Shadow Marshal has sacked Perricum. The villagers of the coastal hamlet Efferd’s Rest only learn about the battle when the wreck of a terrifying ship strands near their home. For your heroes, this is just the starting point for an epic journey, searching for one of the great secrets of Borbarad, Master of Demons.

“Prison of Shadows” is the first The Dark Eye module written exclusively for the Game Master Mode of Larian Studios’ PC game “Divinity: Original Sin 2”. It will introduce the world of Aventuria, its history, mythology and important NPCs to new players. Prison of Shadows is an official partner campaign included in a free update for Divinity Original Sin 2 – the game will support you with all sets, NPCs, items and crucial pieces of information to run the module online. This PDF contains all background information for the digital gaming experience, but you can also play it at your home gaming table without utilizing the Game Master Mode. A second PDF that will pick up the story after this module ends, is in the works.

Time and place: Gulf of Perricum, Praios 1040 Fall of Bosparan.

Please give us either a POD option or a printer friendly option. You're cutting yourself out of a lot of business. And we want to give you that business. Get that business!

Hi Jason, thanks for your comment. At the moment, all we can say is that there are currently no plans to do so.

Ok, but why? This seems to be the policy of a lot of producers, but I don't understand why? The practice loses a lot of business so there most be a reason why. knowing would help me cope.

Thank you for your continued interest and legitimate questions. We greatly appreciate your enthusiasm for our products.

The decision not to offer print on demand (POD) or printer-friendly options at this time is based on a number of factors, including our current production processes, costs and logistical considerations. While we understand that this may seem counterintuitive in terms of business opportunities, it is a decision we have made to maintain the quality and availability of our products and effectively manage our operations.

We realize that this policy may be frustrating to some of our valued customers, and we sincerely thank you for your understanding. We are constantly evaluating our practices and your feedback will help guide our future decisions.

We are committed to providing quality products and services to our customers, and will continue to look for ways to better meet your needs. Your insights are invaluable as we work to improve our offerings.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
