Esoterica Secretum Mundi

'I have travelled the world and collected much that is hidden. Within these pages are truths, lies and fiction as told to me by occultists, practitioners and scholars of magic, collected and retold in, as far as is possible, their own words. These tales and fragments come from the old streets of London, the fabled souks of Morocco, the back alleys of New Orleans and the boulevards of Paris. I have no doubt that some of my interviewees told me falsehoods or lies, or hid the true meaning of their words within obscuring vistas. But here and there are kernels of truth, glimpses of what they refer to as the Secret World, the hidden reality that is, they say, the truth of our existence.

As to what is true and what is a lie – that I leave for the reader to determine. Perhaps they will discern a greater truth than I.'

Welcome to the Secret World...

Welcome to Secretum Mundi. This book is an encyclopedic-style supplement for the Esoterica Roleplaying game, or for any other roleplaying game that focuses on the occult and magic in the modern world (it is rules agnostic). Secretum Mundi contains a range of alphabetized entries on occult individuals, places, events and items, all of which will have plot hooks that can be used to create adventures. Also, many of the entries interlink (i.e. reference each other), so that several entries can be used to create a mini campaign.

The book doesn't contain any rules and is therefore system neutral, so it can be used with any occult-themed roleplaying game.
