Warhammer Rough Nights & Hard Days

A collection of five new and classic scenarios written by WFRP Legend, Graeme Davis. These can be played as stand-alone adventures, or combined into an epic five-part campaign, where the Characters become embroiled in a bitter dispute between two of the Empire’s quarrelling noble houses. Rough Nights & Hard Days also introduces an entirely new playable species, and presents a variety of pub games to amuse and confuse your customers.

Rough Nights & Hard Days Includes:

A Rough Night at the Three Feathers: a quiet evening at the riverside inn becomes very eventful indeed.

A Day at the Trails: a much-awaited trial-by-combat becomes memorable for all the wrong reasons.

A Night at The Opera: an evening of cultured opera descends into farce and horror.

Nastassia’s Wedding: a celebrated society wedding does not go according to plan.

Lord of Ubersreik: competing factions gather for a ball that quickly becomes a battlefield.

Pub Games: one learns of the many pleasant pastimes of which one can partake in the local tavern.

Gnomes: a mysterious, new playable-species is added to Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay.

Rough Nights & Hard Days is the perfect addition to any game of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay as it can be used to start a new campaign, to support the design of exciting locations, or to enhance an ongoing story with exciting new adventures and rules.

I've been trying to salvage this trash piece of a book, and thought I'd take a look online to see if anyone had found any redeeming qualities to it. It appears that all the reviews here are five star and all posted within 48 hours of each other, but still 'verified purchases' No game play or GM info in any of them, just a bunch of people I suspect got free codes from Cubicle 7 to put up five star reviews. Disappointing, and makes me question Cubicle 7 *and* DriveThru's policy of purchaser-only reviews...

Ran through this as a player and had a blast. Sounds like a GM problem *cough* *cough*.

This is listed as part of the Thanksgiving sale, but it is not marked down that I can tell (this is true as of 11-28 at 9:25pm EDT).

PURCHASER
does this have all the money errors (things being vastly expensive bc in 1e characters got gold not brass to start) that Enemy Within has?

I'm going to play Devil's Advocate here and ask, OK so Gnomes have been re-introduced, but how are any Gnome characters supposed to fit in to the rest of the revised WFRP4 scenarios/campaigns at this stage....it's a bit of an afterthought?

Will future products include them as a day-to-day race, or are they going to be just a novelty?
i.e. What's the actual point?

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
