The rules presented in this brief supplement were developed in the course of playing through a rather deadly and sanity crushing campaign. The campaign often consisted of using independent “one-shot” scenarios held together against a backdrop of Investigator Organizations and a shared world within which all the events of the individual scenarios took place. One challenge of that way of playing is that knowledge of the Cthulhu Mythos often dies with the death or permanent insanity of an investigator.
This free supplement presents simple mechanics that can be added to your game so that you can keep the level of lethality and insanity turned up while not sacrificing the ability to play Mythos savvy investigators.
