BLOOD MOON

A Lycanthropic One-Shot Adventure
Recommended for 4-6 player characters of levels 4 to 6

The Hambills are a well-respected farming family in Baile Atha Quinith society.
But no one has heard from them, and those sent to investigate never returned!
Can you discover what tragedy befell these poor souls on the last blood moon?

Hello and welcome, adventurers and Game Masters!

In this one-shot adventure, your players are new arrivals to the grand capitol city of The Red Eagle Barony, Baile Atha Quinith. Upon their arrival they are contacted by the crown’s Spymistress, who requests their assistance in a matter of some urgency and delicacy. Her master, the High Clerk of the court, is seeking adventures to investigate the goings on at a local farm: the farmers have not been heard from since the recent blood moon and the military unit sent to investigate never returned! While delving into this mystery, your players will uncover a lycanthropic invasion, and they must confront and defeat these shape shifters to secure the farmstead and rescue any survivors of the Hambill family!

This adventure is intended for a party of 4-6 players of 4th to 6th level, and a fully prepared group of six pre-generated player characters is included for use by players or the GM as NPCs. This supplement contains a completely original ONE SHOT adventure, fully detailed and ready for immediate use with very little preparation by the GM or the players! The module includes new, never before seen were-beasts and new magic items for use in your campaign!

Inside this module you will find great Old-school art and detailed maps of the capitol city of Baile Atha Quinith, the Royal and North Wards of the capitol, and the Hambill farm (with a GM’s map of keyed encounters and a player’s map). This module also includes a detailed world map of the nation of The Red Eagle Barony, done in the Old School style, with areas for further exploration.

The module can be completed in a single 3-4 hour sessions, or if combined with other our other published modules it provides a story-arc which will span numerous gaming sessions! This story arc begins in SO8 Sea Hag’s Folly, continues in SO13 Shrine of Sacrifice, moves on to this module, and concludes in the forthcoming module Against the Unholy!

This adventure also provides further details on the nation of The Red Eagle Barony, revealing the history of the barony for the very first time! The Red Eagle Barony, along with the nations of Alderburgh, Jarlburgh, Dùn Bhriste and The Dales, brings the author’s camping world to five separate nation states to explore!

This book features 30 pages of excitement and thrills, and it is sure to be a hit with discerning GMs and players alike!

As an ADDED BONUS, as a purchaser of one of my modules you also get a FREE copy of my 2019 Starry Knight Press Catalog!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
