NOIR WORLDS
This title contains two new campaign settings for the Fantaji Universal Role-Playing Game, both decidely noir. And each setting comes with two powerful rule mods, pushing Fantaji even further into the genre.
Faith City: The bleak coastal city of the depression. Your characters are the sturdy souls who have the vision to fight back against the cold conditions of daily life. Faith City has a few tricks up its sleeve, and there's definitely something twisted afoot. Maybe y'all can figure out what it is.
Faith City comes with new tools for running a Crime Syndicate in your game. GMs can build out a syndicate of their own or use the full sample of the Gilded Hand headed by the St. John Roquefort family. If you aren't in the 1930s noir mood, these rules would work just as easily for a sci-fi space federation or martial arts street gang. The setting also includes the Mystery Plot rules: Everything you need to run a play-to-find-out Fantaji mystery. Turn Themes into Clues and build out connections between your suspects.
Silver Age: The only superheroes left are in their mid-50s. They survived the superhero wars of the 1990s by dodging the draft and going into hiding. Of course, everyone who enlisted got killed, so I guess you can't blame them. For more than 20 years, supers have been distrusted and hated, but now the world needs them again. What are you to do?
Silver Age takes great leaps over tall buildings, offering a rule mod called Heroic Scale. This fundamentally changes the relationship between Drama Tokens and dealing damage. Anyone at anytime can exchange Drama for damage, which keeps every combatant on their toes. Not only that, the setting also has something for the GM: Last Laugh. This mechanic gives you an alternative way to end scenes and play out tense encounters that you don't want devolving into another slugfest.

The Fantaji Universal Role-Playing Game features a sharp d10 system that stays simple and concise without ever feeling "lite" or "generic." Despite being easy to learn and portable to any world or campaign setting, the corebook provides tools for a deep and thematic role-playing experience right out of the box.
The root mechanic of Fantaji uses qualitative markers instead of numerical stats but nevertheless demands careful strategy, tactical teamwork, and shrewd resource management. We emulate the look and feel of your favorite JRPGs to produce an engine of turn- and team-based combat that keeps everyone on their toes. Creative storytelling and mechanical strategy both matter: It really is the best of both worlds.
