Fantasy adventurers have it easy.  Not only does nobody give them a hard time about looting vanquished foes, but it's practically expected of them.  Alas, the poor hero in the modern world does not have the same luxury...

...or does he?

Looting for Fun and Profit in the Modern World is a quick guide to unloading loot acquired from villains, criminals, and assorted bad guys.  This PDF includes:

Treasure tables to generate random treasure for modern games.

Table 1-Luxury Items.  Everything from solid gold lighters to designer sunglasses to gem-encrusted umbrellas.  90 items ranging from less than $50 to over $5,000

Table 2.a and 2.b-Random tables for determining watches, from cheap Casio watches to the Rolex Airking.

Table 3-mundane items.  All those things people carry around that have a street value.  cell phones, mp3 players, laptops, and an assortment of items from $20 up to $2,500

Of course, trying to sell all of these newly acquired goods comes with certain risks in the modern world.  But don't worry, the Risk Chance Chart breaks down the real chance of getting caught.

Also includes a brief overview of the different options available for liquidating merchandise, from street corner fences to elite international private brokers.

Four sample outlets that can be used in any modern game:  The Shadowbox, Miss Addie's Attic, Buck's Pawn Shop and Check Cashing, and Harris International Imports

System-neutral PDF means you can use this product in any modern game regardless of system.  Whether you just want random tables of pretentious valuables to equip NPCs, or you want to give a more detailed description of the realities of looting and selling for modern players, this handy little product will give you what you need.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
