Ingenium First Edition

Selected Option:

Ingenium is a fantasy system unlike any other. The core "Three Word" system lets you build a starting character in under five minutes, and the accompanying Talent Pools mechanic lets you build just about any type of character you can imagine.

By giving you freedom without dropping you into a sea of options with no direction, Ingenium allows you to play how you want to play. You don't have to worry about dealing with unbalanced characters.

With unique races and professions, this system gives you control over your character in a way only dreamed of by other systems. This 102 page book gives you all the rules you need for a fantasy setting and is the precursor to the Eiridia setting.

What kind of hero will you play? Will you save the world, or destroy it?

When you purchase Ingenium, you will receive

  • The complete, all-in-one rule set for the Ingenium
  • The only rule system to use the unique Three Word character creation system
  • A 102 page, lavishly illustrated book
  • 93 page, not-as-lavishly illustrated print-friendly copy of the book
  • Unlimited Adventure!

I went in wanting to love this game, and at first Ithought I would. Character creation was fast and intuitive. I started to run into trouble when I tried to work out my character's capabilities in comparison to the sample combat. There were too many [...]

WHAT WORKS: I'm a sucker for a magic system with some flavor, and this one has some good flavor. The character generation is FAST, and there are a ton of option for customizing your characters by mixing and matching the Three Words, as well as the vast [...]

Seriously, three words! That's all it takes to make a character. Not only does the system get out of the way in play, it gets out of the way in character creation. I seriously made a character in 10 minutes. I understood what he could do, and he was we [...]

I like the idea behind this game. The three word system makes it easy to create a character and know how you are going to play that character from the start. The game is definitely not crunchy. The combat and other skill mechanics are ve [...]

I'm tempted to like Ingenium's creativity, and I feel it does good at what it says it's trying to do. I do, however, have some gripes. Characters can almost always be custom tailored for any purpose, but it's also very easy to create a very, ver [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
