Journey to the City of Pearl
by A customer [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 06/05/2017 16:56:59

A very nice hack of "Lady Blackbird". Quite atmospheric and a fantastic setting, having a strong resemblance to Salgari, Haggard and Conrad books, with some interesting steampunk add-ons. Just reading it will make strong images and ideas flourish in your head.

The suggested characters are also quite detailed and very interesting to play, each of them with its own personal (and secret) agenda regarding the discovery of the City of Pearl.

I have used this in a convention game and I think it was well received. I had to make some minor adjustments, for example, I think that the initial agenda of Ketzal could be somewhat problematic regarding the cooperation with other PCs, so I changed it a little bit so as to establish a more friendly play between themselves. At least until they arrive to the City of Pearl properly, if they actually do...

Even though the included map is somewhat scarce of details, which is good, perhaps I will go one step even further and take out all of the cartographic details, leaving only the city of Port Lassk and the river, going "nowhere" in the jungle. Let them find out what is there on the jungle awaiting for them.

Considering it cost 0$, you will definitely get what you will (not) pay for.

Excellent work, and waiting for more immersive products like this from the author.
