    Isekai RPG
by John F. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 07/25/2020 15:30:18

To start with, this pdf is literally two sides of a page long, with formatting set up so it could be tri-folded into a pamphlet to hand out to your players - which is a nice form factor, but that means that the text of the game is exceedingly short. The game is very light - there are five classes, each described with a sentance and a single skill that they can use. How much damage you do per attack is fixed by class - doesn't matter if you're using a pen knife or a battle axe, the Hero is going to do 4 points of damage each attack. Each class gets one skill, which is combat-only, and all rolls are on a d20, with a 15+ succeeding. There's no world - you make it up. There's barely any opponents, and certainly no soul in this.

Honestly, I suggest you go grab a copy of Risus (which is free) and use that. It's got more meat to the system than this, is similarly light, and is more fun.

Although, I do give them points for putting Truck-kun on the cover.

    Heroes of Electrum

Usually, I'm not a big enthusiast of Lima's games (yeah, there is a lot of cool ideas, but I prefer more detailed systems), but Lima's minimalism system fits very well with the supers genre, where powers are more plot devices than tactical choices. Good idea.

A nice and fast game to play with. You can create a character in few minutes and try to survive in this harsh world.

The first time i saw "Potiguares" i got very excited. It show a nice way to play with characters in the Pre-Columbian age. Excelent to use in class with you are a teacher or just interested to play a fast and different scenario.

Com certeza uma das melhores versões do sistema Lima. Arte fantástica e uma simplicidade de funcionamento que poucos jogos podem se orgulhar de ter. Não irão se arrepender de jogar em sua próxima sessão de jogo!

    Sword & Planet
by William H. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 11/10/2018 02:06:29

The rules system needs examples of character gen and the task modes (Knowledge, knowledge in career, advantage, disadvantage), and needs more setting generation to be worth while. The one setting table (arrival via) is a good start, and adding enough additional tables to provide a good hook with at least three components, for example, type of world, type of and number of primary cultures, and primary conflict type would round it out to a useful tool for those quick and casual - by giving a little bit more, it makes it easier to grab the game and go. There is promise, but as it is, it's not enough to be inspirational, and the mechanics math is workable, but not to my taste.
