D-Percent - 100 Textures
by Shane F. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 11/29/2022 16:03:38

I love these tables (colour, texture, sound, emotions and moods, and feelings) because they can add detail and inspiration in to any scene, description, a location, a spell effect, etc. They add inspiration in any situation and I use them in combination repeatedly at almost every oracle roll. Oddly there's no smell or taste tables so I created my own to complete the set.

Cohorts & Companions - Roland Talbot [PFRPG]
by Timothy B. [Featured Reviewer] Date Added: 12/10/2019 14:51:34

OK. This is great product and idea. This pdf presents Roland Talbot and his 20 level career as a Fighter (Polearm Master) for the PAthfinder (1st Ed) game.

For a buck this is a great idea and deal. Check out their list of NPCs and grab the one you need. They can be played both a PC or an NPC. The OGL statement for this product is actially REALLY NICE. Not only does it cover what it needs for the OGL it also lets the reader know what books were used to build this NPC; something needed in the Pathfinder game.

D-Percent - 100 Fantasy City Rumors and Mysteries
by Michael H. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 08/30/2016 13:49:58

This is well-crafted. I was hoping for a list of minor rumors, but these are pretty substantial. More alike adventure hooks, or mysteries that require following-up. And it's not a table of rumors that can be assembled by rolling a d100; it is just 100 "rumors."

D-Percent - 100 Pulp Rumors and Mysteries
by Brian D. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 07/24/2016 12:55:05

I bought this supplement to use with a 1930s Noir campaign I am running. The ideas in this supplement matched up perfectly with the mood I have set for the campaign but I could easier see using these ideas for other types of campaigns as well. You can expect to find a mix of normal sounding and supernatural ideas in this PDF. If you are not running a supernatural campaign, you can easily use those as rumors the party investigates with a less supernatural origin. Each idea consists of two to three sentences that summarizes the concept and leaves the GM plenty of room to modify and incorporate it into their campaign. I found the ideas to be well written and creative.

As for the PDF itself, it is three full pages with pretty dense text. There is an image in the top right corner of each page to break up the text a bit and spur the imagination. I copied and pasted the text into a word doc to see how large it would be, and it's 7 pages without the images using Calibri 11 font with a numbered list format and standard 1" margins. These are not sparsely populated pages!

This is my first product from Black Falcon Games, and I must admint, I really wasn't expecting much when I purchased this supplement. My hope was to get a handful of ideas from the 100 listed that might be useful for the campaign, but I got much more! I purchased the product on sale (a little under $1) and I feel it was well worth the small investment.

Modern Gaming - Random Generator Collection [BUNDLE]
by A customer [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 06/11/2016 05:37:13

I have a think any DM/GM/Storyteller/Narrator must have his/her own d100 lists, however, when you most of time "lived" in mediaval fantasy worlds, it's difficult to change your mind to complete own d100 lists, so here're examples, best examples you can find at this moment. Good work.

D-Percent - Old World and Medieval Names
by Kai P. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 01/08/2016 09:09:59

Personally, I think one would be hardly pressed to find a better "list of names" in the advertised category.

For a price that others charge for 100 names, you get 3x 100 names, which all fit neatly onto one page without bein a pain to read.

Form a quick glance, I guess the list takes it influences from France, Middle & Eastern Europe and "the North". This -might- be a problem for those who need second names for a rather isolated medival village far from the border, but every other place that sees some traffic from all over Europe will not have those problems.

I will put this one to good use this very evening, thanks to Black Falcon Games.

D-Percent - 100 Reactions to Botched Social Interactions
by Darryl J. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 11/01/2015 18:34:01

This list is great for solving those times when a PC horribly fails a social roll. A quick glance at the list and you have the inspiration to continue on. This list, like all D-Percent lists, is simply one page, black & white, without even a simple descriptive sentence to go along with the reaction. But it does serve it's purpose well.

Cohorts & Companions - Simay Niazi [PFRPG]
by Megan R. [Featured Reviewer] Date Added: 09/29/2013 10:04:04

Simay Niazi is an interesting person. Sold into slavery as a youngster with the rest of her family, she did not take kindly to the idea and utilised her considerable abilities to do something about it... for she is a viskanya, a humanoid who produces natural toxins, and combines this with being a sorcerer of a serpentine bloodline!

After providing extensive background and other details, a complete set of stat blocks from level 1 to level 20 is provided. She's pretty potent even at low level and gets stronger especially when, at 3rd level, she adds a viper familiar.

Whilst not greatly blessed with full-on combat skills, Simay makes up for this with the subtlety of her magics. As such she could be a useful ally or even a recruit to a party of adventurers. Note however that she seeks to disarm and render harmless rather than kill, and whenever she encounters slaves is overwhelmed with a desire to free them. Still young, but alone in the world (apart from her companion viper) she seeks friendship as well as wealth from adventuring... and best of all, she's here complete, ready to use as a fully-featured NPC at whatever level you need her, or to provide a replacement PC should someone fall in battle.

Nemesis NPCs - Xerxes Trueflight [PFRPG]
by Megan R. [Featured Reviewer] Date Added: 09/09/2013 08:16:39

Herein is presented but a single NPC - but a very detailed and well thought out one that could be dropped into a campaign at any level or, if he survives the first brush with the party, can grow with them.

Xerxes Trueflight is built around the Magus base class with the Myrmidarch archetype, with Ranger and the Arcane Archer prestige class thrown in for good measure, along with the Catfolk race... all published in various Pathfinder RPG core books. He is presented in complete detail from 1st to 20th level, usfully as indivdual stat blocks so you only need the one that's appropriate for your game - you won't have to keep flipping back and forth. Indeed, apart from levels 1 and 2, each level is on a separate page to facilitate printing only what you need.

His backstory, personality, appearance and even notes on how to role-play him are given in detail. He is very clearly intended as an opponent for your party, unlike some 'complete NPCs' he is not really suitable to be used as a player-character, at least not with the normal adventuring group. However, he isn't all bad, certainly quite three-dimensional not just someone to clobber... although the party may well have to eventually deal with him.

Nice, useful, probably an incidental (even if recurring) encounter rather than the focus of a whole campaign or even a single adventure.

D-Percent - Minable Minerals, Gems, Elements, & Ores
by Phillip R. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 08/31/2013 08:32:31

According to the product description, "D-Percent - Minable Minerals, Gems, Elements, & Ores gives you a handy list of materials mined, collected, and gathered. There are thousands of mines in the real world, and a fantasy world should be no different! Add a little variety to spice up your campaign to establish interesting details to your world economy." For $0.75 I was not expecting full course on mineralogy. I was hoping for a short description of each of the minerals et al. However, all that is given is a list of names.

To be useful to "establish interesting details to your world economy" what is needed, in addition to a name, is its color, its smell, if any, a range of sizes, its shape or crystalline structure, solid or liquid, and where it is commonly found. If a character picks up a clear crystal on a sea beach near a granite cliff is it likely to be a diamond or quartz? How does one distinguish a raw uncut diamond from rock salt or zirconium, gold from iron pyrite?

For that much of detail, I would willingly pay more than $0.75. I have bought several of the D-Percent products from Black Falcon Games and in general, I have been very happy with them. However, as it stands this D-Percent is a disappointment.
