I have absolutely zero interest in playing a zombie in a gruesome, gory world that's falling apart at the seams. This game makes me wish I felt differently. The art and setting are very well done. But what makes this game so incredibly compelling is the game itself: character sheets are hands of cards, resources are chips, cards are flipped and twisted to represent damage and special abilities... It's all brilliant. And I wish, wish, wish the setting was pretty much anything else, because I'm pretty sure if it were, this would be the only game I'd want to play. Oh, another thing: this game really needs the physical cards and dice. The PDF might be a nice addition, but pick up the physical cards if you're planning on playing this game.

5 stars for the game design. Minus 1 for the uninspiring subject matter. I wouldn't bother with the PDF by itself - be sure to get the physical cards and dice.

This is Mark's new masterpiece, it's ambitious as it is great.

This isn't a game where you play as a brainless zombie...no, you are one of the few and powerful 'TOXIC'...those still able to keep their sanity and mind after an infection.

Not only is the game world fresh, original, and innovative...but it has Mark's 'style' in it.

There's the faction, the competing philosophies, the awesome mythology and terminology that made Mark's previous classics great (for example, Vampire the Masquerade).

And to top it off, the Field Manual is beautiful. Every inch of every page is detailed with amazing artwork, and amazing setting design.

The rules are nice and simple, but offer interesting complexities. I found the rules manual to be a little confusing to read, but I was able to understand it fairly well after a 2nd re-read, which wasn't a problem since it's only 17 pages long.

I can't wait to play this game with my friends and I hope to see new books out with this setting in the future.

This game is Pure Awesomeness. It is Mark RH's Magnum Opus; a new and intriguing World where to play, born from his creativity and perfectly distilled to pages by Mark Kelly's graphical expertise. So many character concepts and possibilities I don't even know which one to choose to start playing. Looking forward to where this new universe will take us in the years to come

OK, I've been waiting for Mark Rein-Hagen to bring us a new product for ages...and WOW, it was certainly worth the wait. I AM ZOMBIE is finely written book and a visual treat about the world of the Toxic. Can't wait to get my hands of a physical copy!!!

The coming coming back of one of the greatest RPG authors This book of Mark Rein Hagen is not only a RPG, is a masterpiece an artwork

I love the writing. In particular I really liked I had a Daughter Once, The Day the Music Died, Brain Addicted Thrill Kill Cult, and Scourge Under the Rotting Flesh. Its difficult to read at times because how busy the pages are with artwork, but, it also sort of makes the book feel like something I could leave on my coffee table for my art friends to thumb through (assuming I can get a hard copy some day).

But where is the game? How do I make a character? I am really confused how this is a game book. There is a vectors section, but it feels like I am missing something.

Gorgeous graphics. Powerful writing. Everything you would expect from Mark Rein*Hagen, and then some. Recommended.
