I used the Solo Investigator’s Handbook to generate an adventure for Star Wreck the roleplaying game. I knew that I wanted a mystery in the 1920s with some dead bodies. The adventure starts when the captain decides that he wants to get some high quality booze. That is when he picks out this planet set in the 1920s. When he makes the purchase, he then decides to ask the cute lady behind the counter for a date. She says, “yes”. The half-Betazoid (pilot) uses her psionic ability to notice that the next customer in line is experiencing fear. The customer is questioned and the crew finds out about the first dead body. Spook the Vulgar is put in charge of the mission and the captain goes on his date. So, none of the characters died during the adventure. They were able to eat fish and chips at the wharf, drive a Model T, find/kill the monster (alien mind flayer), and capture his scout ship. Give this a try!
