Very, very pleased with this one. There are few in this collection I am also rather fond of and I know they will improve the look of my project. 10 images in total. Easy to read and understand attached license. I would have preferred TIFF or PSD images, but like I said, a couple are so perfect that I can deal.

Very satisfied with this purchase. I like the style of the artwork and most of the figures could easily be used as a fighter or paladin. There is also an image that could be used as a mage. I can certainly see myself using some of these images in a future project.

These war priests are evocative, dynamic and sinister. All images are highly detailed. Each image has a real sense of character, and there is a good variety amongst them. I really like the heavily armored priest, that could just as easily be a paladin or the like. Very impressive.

The material starts off with the cover page and then a page explaining how the user is entitled to use the art from the product. Outside of reselling it as clip art, it appears as long as the user attributes the art correctly, the purchaser is covered.

Each illustration that follows is a full page illustration using solid black and white artwork. The use of black is a little overdone in my opinion but shouldn't pose a problem for casual purchasers looking to add character illustrations. The material covers a wide variety of poses and stances for the characters, often against an empty background. Much of the material is highly detailed and looks like it would be at home during the 'glory' days of Kevin Long and others at Palladium during the height of their Rifts period.

My personal favorite is the female dwarf priestess. She is shown with her shield arm raised to with lighting crackling around it while her rune hammer sizzles with the same energy.

If you look at the cover illustration and enjoy it, the interiors are more of the same. Despite their fantasy theme, several of them would be right at home in a science fiction or super heroic setting like the fifth illustration which almost appears to be a war-forged until you see the hair, with both hands planted firmly upon a mace. He easily looks like he could fill the role of a Dr. Destroyer in a supers campaign.

Overall a very good product and resource for publication. The art is very crisp and of high quality, and most of the poses are dynamic and convey a good sense of action. My only quibble would be the heavy inking in place of color. This is not to say I expected the images to be colored, but rather that where one would expect color the images have largely been filled with black. While this makes for a great contrasting in a purely B/W image, it makes coloring the image more problematic. Other than that, two thumbs up.

Most clip art products aren't even worth the time to look at, much less the money to buy, and at 15 dollars, War Priests seems like an expensive purchase. However, the art within is spectacular, nothing that would look out of place in any professionally published product. The art has character and poise, and grabs the reader instantly. At 10 pieces of art, each picture itself costs only 1.50, making it a steal compared to the average Postmortem clip art product. If you're an independent publisher, or just a guy like me who likes to spruce up the products he puts online, this item is definitely worth your consideration. I look forward to seeing more of Toby's fine work.
